Setting and atmosphere
Wertheim, once the residence of the Counts of Wertheim, lies where the river Tauber flows into the Main. Medieval alleys, half-timbered houses and an impressive castle ruin give the old town its Franconian character. The village picks up this style with half-timbered façades, turrets and car-free shopping streets, and makes a good day trip combined with the old town and the Tauber valley.
For a break, options include Saigon Social Club, the Italian La Piazza, The Coffee Corner, The Waffle, Mon Amour organic crêpes, Elaine’s TakeAway and the Lindt Café. There is a children’s playground, and washrooms with baby-changing facilities are located throughout the village.

Brands and prices
The range covers luxury and designer fashion, business and casual wear, sports and outdoor clothing, shoes, jewellery, cosmetics and homeware. Brands include BOSS, Polo Ralph Lauren, Armani, Coach, Longchamp, Michael Kors and Tod’s, sports and outdoor labels such as adidas, Nike, The North Face and Jack Wolfskin, and WMF, Villeroy & Boch, Le Creuset and Fissler for kitchen and table. Most items come from previous seasons or overstock, and each boutique sets its own discounts. See the store directory below for the full list.
